The Roundup 4

Close Public Libraries Permanently
Nearly a year after Harvey flooded many of Houston’s public libraries, six remain closed and virtually no repairs have been performed at the others. The city is still waiting for insurance money and FEMA checks. Now would be a good time to consider closing down the entire public library system. There are many examples of private libraries, and as the past ten months have demonstrated, Houstonians can survive without government operated libraries. And Government Schools Too
The Houston Independent School District has been failing its students for decades. Every few years, it comes out with a new plan that it promises will turn out under performing schools. And when those promises fail to materialize, the process is repeated with great fanfare. Virtually all of these plans involve throwing more money at the problem. All this does is waste taxpayer money and create a greater sense of hopelessness among students and parents. The real solution is to get rid of government schools and let educational entrepreneurs show how to provide quality education that everyone can afford. It can be done and is being done, and you can learn how by clicking here.
